About Moore, SC
Moore is about 8 miles north of Woodruff on US-221, with I-26 Exit 28 and SC-290 both close by. It is a mix of quiet residential roads and commuters cutting between Woodruff and Spartanburg, so our calls here range from dead batteries in a driveway to flat tires on US-221 and stalled cars near the I-26 ramps. Because Moore sits on the road we already drive to reach Spartanburg, it gets one of our quickest turnarounds outside Woodruff itself, typically 25 to 35 minutes, and dispatch gives you an honest ETA on the phone before a truck leaves.
Price's Post Office
Price's Post Office is a house built around 1800 at the intersection of Oak View Farm Road, Old Switzer Road, and Price House Road. Thomas Price ran a general store and post office there from about 1811 to 1820, and the building also served as a public house and stagecoach stop. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 28, 1969, and is now a historic house museum.
